نبذة عن الكتاب :

أسلوب العنصر المحدَّد هو الأسلوب المباشر لحساب التفاوتات للوصول إلي الحل التقريبي للمسائل المتصلة المعقدة (الحلول التقريبية للمعادلات التفاضلية العادية والجزئية). وهذا يتم بتحويل المسائل المتصلة المعقدة (continuum) بدرجة حريتها اللانهائية إلي المسائل بديلة لها درجة حرية محددة خواصها قريبة من النموذج الأصلي.

        يستخدم أسلوب العنصر المحدد لحل المسائل ذات الشكل الهندسي المعقد التي لا يمكن حلها بالأساليب التحليلية القياسية. ولكن عندما يكون الشكل الهندسي المراد حساب التقاوتات فيه معقداً فإنَّ المهمة تصبح أكثر تعقيداً وصعوبة. في طريقة العناصر المحدَّدة يمكن تفادي هذه المصاعب بتخيل أنَّ الجسم المصمت المراد إجراء هذه الطريقة عليه يمكن تقسيمه إلي عدد من التقسيمات المحدَّدة لتسهيل حله.
